Description

The Schools of Modern Languages, History and Sociology, International Affairs, and Literature, Media and Communications, offer a minor in Latin American and LatinX Studies (LAT). This interdisciplinary minor connects studies of the regions and peoples in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as Latino/LatinX populations in the United States, both concurrently in their local and global relationships as well as longitudinally over the course of history. Through the interdisciplinary study of history, politics, economics, literature, media, and languages of these regions and populations, students engage in the comparative study of societies, values, and local/global issues.
