Global Opportunities Matrix
Internationalize Your Experience at Tech
At Georgia Tech, undergraduate students from all majors can internationalize their college experience on campus and beyond through the study of business, culture, language, economics, engineering, regional studies, and more. Society’s most consequential challenges require global collaboration and solutions. Hence, Georgia Tech aspires to prepare students to be culturally competent, globally-minded leaders. Students may gain formal global and intercultural experience through one or more of the credentialed opportunities listed below.
Major: Subject area of focus that results in bachelor's degree award
Minor: A defined program of study outside of an undergraduate student's major field. Minors are intended to broaden the student's education by encouraging and officially recognizing knowledge obtained by the student in fields other than their major.
Degree Designation: Degree-long academic program through which students can earn a special annotation on their diploma and final transcript
Certificate: Certificates are intended to encourage students to use the elective course requirements in their degree program to form a coherent package of coursework in a specified area
Blockchain credential: A blockchain-powered academic credential, housed on a mobile application, that is decentralized, secure, and verified. These credentials demonstrate completion of and participation in a program.
